Groep 22. Rhododendron cinnabarinum.

Algemene kenmerken als in groep 21, de bloemen zijn echter klokvormig in hangende trossen, geel, oranjegeel tot rood, soms lilarood of wit. Bloeitijd mei. Bescherming in de winter is aan te raden.

This group has about the same characteristics as in group 21. The corollas are bell-shaped and pendant, borne in small umbels; yellow, yellow-orange to red, rarely lilac or white. Shelter in winter is needed unless in mild locations. Flowering period is May.

Diese Gruppe hat etwa die gleichen Kennzeichen wie in Gruppe 21. Die Blüten aber sind glockenförmig und hängend, gelb, orangegelb bis rot, ebenfalls lilarot oder weiss. Blütezeit Mai. Winterschutz unerlässlich.

Cette groupe est plus ou moins conforme à groupe 21. Les fleurs sont des clochettes en petits bouquets pendantes; jaune, orangejaune à rouge, rarement rouge-lilas ou blanc. Protection en hiver est nécessaire sauf en Bretagne. Epoque de floraison mai.
