Species, Subs. Lapponica for the larger rock garden. This plant grows to about 100 cm. The flower colour is purple pink. This plant is completely hardy.The flowering period is March - April.

This plant belongs in group C2 : up to 1 m high and as wide, leaves small, 2-5 cm long, flowers funnel-shaped in small trusses
