We have 628 different Rhododendrons and Azaleas in our catalogue. Many of the listed species and hybrids are available only in limited quantities and certainly not in all sizes. The best, most beautiful and most reliable are grown in larger quantities. Every year we take some new varieties in production and also we drop some that are not reliable or not successful.
All Rhododendrons and Azaleas are listed twice in the catalogue. First you will find a strictly alphabetical listing of the species and cultivars without regard of common characteristics. The second is organized to common characteristics and common parentage where applicable and follows the system used in the book Rhododendron Portraits. This second listing will help in compiling plant lists.

You will find the appropriate price on the intersection. Almost all varieties are not available in all sizes. If a certain size is not in stock we will try to supply one size larger or smaller.

SYSTEM OF COLUMNSThe Rhododendrons are listed in a different way from the trees and shrubs. Using codes gives even more information on each plant. First column: 'Name' column. Second column: 'Colour' column. See the page with translations in the introduction of this catalogue. Third column: 'Group' column. This points to the group in which this variety belongs in the second listing of the Rhododendrons. Of course not repeated there. Fourth column: 'General information' column. See next page for detailed information. Fifth column: 'Availability' column. Nothing here means that this variety is normally available at the start of the season. B/L means limited supply, -/- means only incidentally available. Sixth column: 'Price group' column. See the price-table above for detailed information.
